Arsenal sign Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen for £22m

Arsenal have completed the £22million signing of keeper Bernd Leno.

The 26-year-old has officially joined from Bayer Leverkusen on what is believed to be a five-year-deal.

The Bundesliga club made the announcement on Twitter, posting an image of Leno with ‘danke’ – German for ‘thanks’.

They added: “@Bernd_Leno is joining @Arsenal, effective immediately.

“Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication, Bernd! We wish you all the best in this next phase of your career”.

Arsenal then joined Leverkusen in confirming that Leno was their man.
